Hanbo Wang is a Research Fellow at the American Iranian Council working on relations between the United States, China and Iran.
He is currently a master’s student in international affairs at Pennsylvania State University with a concentration in Middle East studies. Before studying at Penn State University, he received both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy at Renmin University of China.
While studying at Penn State University, he has been learning Arabic. His research concentrates on “the vital triangle” among the United States, Middle East, and China. Under the supervision of Prof. Flynt L. Leverett, Hanbo wrote a master’s paper, Sino-Iranian Security Cooperation, Drivers, Payoffs, and the Future Development, which is comprehensive study on the strategic cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People’s Republic of China from a security perspective.
