Michel Gomes graduated from Dordt University with a Bachelors of Arts in History with a minor in Philosophy. He studied Middle Eastern history as well as took courses covering modern Iran. Working as a Research Associate, Michel's focus is primarily on religious-political, and political history.
Having taken historical courses on Iran in an American college, he realized the extent of misconceptions about Iran. Given the present political climate and partisan divisions over international affairs, Michel hopes his contribution at the Council will be conducive to improving understanding and exchanges between the countries.
