Nicolás Pedreira serves as a Research Fellow at the American Iranian Council. He holds a BA in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University. As an undergraduate, Nicolás interviewed seven former U.S. ambassadors to the Middle East and North Africa for his senior thesis focused on reestablishing ambassadorial relations between the United States and Iran. After graduating from GW in 2015, he embarked on a trip around the world that spanned across 30 countries in a period of 9 months.
Nicolás’ interests include US-Iran diplomatic relations, US foreign policy in the Gulf, international politics of the Middle East, and the influence of Iran’s political institutions on Iranian foreign policy.
